Gerald and Faye Goodwin discuss family history; acquisition and inheritance of the farm; their marriage celebration and chivaree; the country school they attended; agricultural machinery and farm operations; livestock; soil conservation; exchanging eggs and cream for groceries; the Farmers' Holiday controversy; chautauquas and other social events; threshing rings; amusements they enjoyed as youth; prairie fires; prohibition; electricity; etc. The collection also includes a photocopy of a holograph History of Summit #2 (school) from 1875 to 1966.
